There are two ways to make an appointment to see a doctor at the Mapperley Surgery.
- You can book a routine appointment online or at reception at any time with any doctor. This will usually be at least two weeks ahead.
- You can ring on the day for an urgent problem. Phone lines open at 8.00am. A GP will then phone you back as part of a triage system, and will book an appointment that day if needed.
We are trying hard to provide a service with a good balance between accessibility and convenience and would welcome any constructive comments.

Our Practice Nurses have specialized in many conditions and can manage most of our patients who have a chronic disease such as Diabetes, COPD, Asthma etc so it is not always necessary to make an appointment with the doctor for your annual review of your chronic disease.
All patients who are on any repeat medication should have a medication review once a year. These appointments usually need to be with the doctor.
It is advised that you call the practice after 10am for non-urgent matters such as requesting sick notes, prescription queries or to discuss blood test results.
