Prebooking appointments

We are now in a position where we are able to cautiously reintroduce routine appointments. This means that from June, you can book an appointment in advance with a GP. However, to reduce footfall within the practice, and the amount of patients in the waiting room, all of these appointments will initially be by telephone or video consultation. The doctor can then arrange to bring you in at an appropriate time if necessary for blood tests or a face to face review. We will also continue to deal with urgent “on the day” appointments over the telephone initially, but the GP may arrange to see you face to face following this. You may also book for routine smear tests and immunisations for yourself or your child with the nurse. Please also book any eight week baby checks with the GP, you do not need to speak with a GP prior to booking these in. We will continue to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) for all consultations. We ask that you please cancel any face to face appointments if you have any of the following symptoms: Fever, Persistent cough, Loss or alteration of smell or taste. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Clearly, all of the above will be subject to change according to government advice.
