Our office managers lead the reception team and manage the smooth running of reception duties, which include the appointment system, repeat prescriptions, registering patients and many other daily tasks.
Reception staff can often advise you who it’s best to see for a problem, so saving you time needing to make another appointment. The reception team are asked by the GPs to obtain a basic understanding of the patients needs. For this reason they will usually ask you for some basic details to ensure you are directed to the appropriate clinician or service as quickly as possible.
Our secretarial /administration staff deal with hospital and other referrals, obtaining results, typing letters and chasing queries. They also arrange for the recall of ladies for their smear tests, children form their immunisations and patients who suffer from a chronic disease to have an annual review.
There are numerous background tasks performed by the team on a daily basis.
