To see a doctor at the Victoria Health Centre site we offer two types of appointment.
- You can usually book online or at reception between two to four weeks ahead and choose the doctor that you see, about a third of our appointments are bookable in this way.
- There are also book-on-the-day appointments for urgent problems. We are currently triaging these, so if you phone in the morning for an appointment, a GP will phone you back that day. They may be able to deal with things over the phone for you, but will otherwise book you an appointment.
Our Practice Nurses have specialized in many conditions and can manage most of our patients who have a chronic disease such as Diabetes, COPD, Asthma etc so it is not always necessary to make an appointment with the doctor for your annual review of your chronic disease.
All patients who are on any repeat medication should have a medication review once a year. These appointments usually need to be with the doctor.
It is advised that you call the practice after 10am for non-urgent matters such as requesting sick notes, prescription queries or to discuss blood test results.
