Doctors
The doctors work together as a team and you are welcome to see any of them. If you prefer to see a certain doctor our receptionists will try to arrange this.
All the doctors provide general medical services as well as contraceptive, maternity and child health services.

Dr Husein Mawji
MBBS (1998) BSc(Hons) MRCS DRCOG MRCGP
GMC no. 4518262Husein Mawji initially pursued a career in general surgery, but after a change in heart completed his GP training on the Nottingham vocational training scheme. Having previously worked with us as a Registrar he joined the practice in 2005. His particular interests include minor surgery, joint injections, dermatology, and caring for patients with learning disabilities. He also works as a sessional doctor for the local out-of-hours GP service. He sees patients at Victoria Health Centre.

Dr Farah Elias
MBBCh (1996) DFSRH MRCGP
GMC no. 6038266Farah Elias did his GP training on the Nottingham vocational training scheme and joined the practice in 2008. His particular interests are minor surgery, orthopaedics and joint injections, and he also fits contraceptive implants. He sees patients at both Victoria and Mapperley sites.

Dr Lucy Gaden
MBBS (2005) BSc (Hons) MRCGP DCH DRCOG DFSRH PCGME
GMC no. 6120706Lucy Gaden trained at Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ in London before moving back to Nottingham and completing her GP training in Derby. Her interests include contraception and she fits implants and coils. She is now a GP Trainer and supervises Registrars and medical students. She joined the practice in 2011 and sees patients at the Mapperley site.

Dr Lubna Baig
MBChB (1991) DFFP DRCOG MRCGP
GMC no. 3540532Lubna Baig qualified at Leeds University, and completed her GP training in the North Manchester area.
Her interests are contraception and women’s health, and she is able to fit coils. She joined the practice in 2014, and sees patients at the Mapperley site. -
Dr Cassandra Nightingale
MBChB (2007) DRCOG MRCGP
GMC no. 6159083Cassandra Nightingale qualified at Sheffield University and completed her GP training in South Yorkshire. She worked as a Locum and Salaried GP at other surgeries in Nottingham, before joining the Victoria & Mapperley Practice as a partner in April 2014. She has a keen interest in managing patients with Diabetes and is an educational supervisor for doctors undertaking GP training at the practice. She sees patients at the Mapperley site.

Dr Lyndsey Wheeler

GMC no. 7045440Dr Lyndsey Wheeler completed her GP training in Nottingham and joined us as a partner in September 2019. She sees patients at both the Victoria and Mapperley sites.

Dr Beth Guy
BMedSci (1st degree) BMBS (Hons) 2008 MRCGP 2013 DCH DFSRH
GMC no. 7015846Beth Guy completed her medical degree at The University of Nottingham and went on to train as a GP on the Nottingham VTS scheme. She has worked in Derbyshire, Lincolnshire and Nottingham before joining the Victoria and Mapperley Pracitice as a salaried GP in August 2022. She has a particular interest in child health and women’s health. She fits the contraceptive implant. She works part-time at both the Victoria and Mapperley sites.

Dr Megan Burton
MBBCH 2016 MRCGP 2023
GMC no. 7524703Megan completed her medical degree at Cardiff University and completed GP training in Nottingham. She is currently studying at Bath University part time to complete a PGDip in Sport and Exercise Medicine. Megan is a part time Salaried GP at the practice alongside working as one of Nottingham Forest's Club Doctors in charge of the Academy and Women's team. Megan created the GP partnership with The Nottinghamshire Blaze Womens Cricket Team based at Trent Bridge.

Dr Alam Khan

GMC no. 7712960Dr Alam Khan completed his GP training in Nottingham. He worked with us previously as a registrar and then joined as a salaried GP in 2024. He has a particular interest in minor surgery. He sees patients at both the Victoria and Mapperley sites.
